Support The BPO

Planned Giving

Planned Giving is a way for you to remember an organization that you understand and believe in. Give a gift...

Making a Planned Gift to the BPO is easy. Examples of Planned Gifts include:

          *gifts of cash

             *real estate

            *bequests

          *marketable securities

             *personal property

            *life insurance

          *privately held stock

             *IRAs

            *Charitable trusts

Even when you give a simple birthday present or wedding gift, you put a lot of thought into your gift to make sure it is special. You add value to charitable giving, too, if you invest careful thought and planning into your gift.

We know that your primary interest in making a gift to the BPO is to further our mission and ensure the future of the orchestra. We want to be sure that the type of gift you choose is the most beneficial for you. Personal advisors are essential to wise donor decisions.

Each year the BPO receives a number of planned gifts.Their names are listed with the Heritage Society Members of the BPO. Each of these individuals or couples have made provisions for a contribution to the BPO in their estate plans and while there are many different methods, the most common is by adding the BPO as a beneficiary in one's Will.

It is ever our intention to provide you with all the information you need to shape the goals of your gift. If you need assistance understanding the tax benefits and other financial implications of your support, our knowledgeable financial specialists are here to lend you a helping hand.

If you have already provided for the BPO in your estate plans or would like further information, please contact Barbara McCulloch, Associate Director of Development at 885-0331 ext. 420.
