Symphony Scholars

Sponsored by George and Bodil Gellman and in partnership with Buffalo State College, this program affords students the opportunity to learn about classical music, to attend several BPO performances and a chance to meet numerous soloists and conductors.

Artists in the Schools

BPO musicians present programs in the schools and the community.These programs offer students the opportunity to meet and interact with Orchestra musicians and conductors. Celebration of Music Education - April 30, 2011

Each year, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, in collaboration with BOCES of Western New York, celebrates the contributions and achievements of Western New York’s music educators, administrators and school music programs. Distinguished awards such as the BPO/ECMEA Awards for Excellence in Music Education and the Friends of the BPO’s Young Musicians Scholarships are presented at an evening of celebration at Kleinhans Music Hall.  To see past year's award winners, click on the link above.
