Formerly known as Community Nights, Community Spotlight showcases school and community groups from across Western New York. All performances take place in the Mary Seaton Room prior to select BPO concerts throughout the season, and enable students the chance to perform at Kleinhans Music Hall, as well as hear the Buffalo Philharmonic perform. The West Side Connection is a project involving the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and 12 Buffalo Public Schools located on the West Side. Through educational activities, guest artist visits and a special concert, this project celebrates through music the diversity found in the West Side schools that neighbor Kleinhans Music Hall.
